RENAISSANCE STYLE BODICES
Norsk Folkemuseum, Oslo, Norway

The black, the stiped and the green bodices could be from the 16thC and upwards. It's the basic renaissance style / decorations of bodices known in Norway.

The red embroidered bodice has kept it's essential renaissance decorations , but has been embellished with embroidery by the time we get to the 18th C.
Around 1800 or so the waist was probably raised quite a bit.

The red silk brocade bodice with the green shirt is renaissance in origin, but "modern" in cut. Most probably early to mid 19thC.
